Telluride Colorado Environs

Great as always.
I have driven most of the areas most notable passes. Black Bear Pass is definitely hairy coming down. I did it loaded with my flippac. I'm sure a taco with FWC could make it but I am also sure it would be that much more hairy!

Ophir Pass is really mellow. The road down the talus has some amazing views.

Thanks Bill.I really enjoyed the trip.I had been to Colorado a few times back in the early 70s and 80s,places like Drango,Silverton,Creed,Wolf Creek Pass,South Fork, that whole area, such great times.Your pictures brought back loads of fond memories. On those trips we did mostly the train things. At the time there probably weren't as many people as today. Also camped in the Chama area.Loved the Baldwin narrow gauge locomotives. The train ride was great with all the scenery, but the most fun was watching these "tubby" steam engines clank along the track.
Thanks Frank

Bill, your bird photos are really something. And also the closeups of the plants. Really, all the photos are quite exceptional. Thanks for posting them.
