The Acoustic Thread - What are you listening to?

That's nice! Miss Laurie is pretty doggone good.

Here's some more western flavor. From one of the locals here in town.

Edit: Joni writes the majority of her music, a lot of which ties back to Oregon, and to her family. She travels with a good size western band, but almost every year she comes back to do a solo performance in our 'Slice of Summer' festival. A nice lady.

I guess I'm an old guy myself. All our Kate Wolf recordings are on vinyl and my wife and I first heard Laurie Lewis back in the late seventies/early eighties when she played regularly at a pizza parlor with a band called "The Good Old Persons."

But, if it is not too presumptuous for a newcomer I would like to broaden our definition of acoustic music a bit:

"Presumptuous?" I don't believe that is in our vocabulary! New blood/members are what keeps us fresh! Thanks for sharing!

Ute Lemper has a great voice, and one of the most expressive faces I've seen.

I was looking at a YouTube video on the Ralph Smith 18 string (6 courses of 3 strings) guitar, and stumbled on this lady. I believe that I've heard her do bluegrass, but not a harp guitar. Muriel Anderson...
