Three Nevada Ghost Towns - June 2020

Enjoyed that! Ya know visiting and exploring old historic sites, especially old homesteads, is both fun and sad at the same time; I always stop and think about what brought those folks here and what dreams for the future they had! Speaking of the "asses" I remember a family of those critters (burros in this case) that used to always greet all visitors to the first dry lake (of many) in Dry Valley, Nevada (valley is just west of the Smoke Creek Desert). They would just stand there next to the lakes edge looking at you, no running away, sort of saying "hey this is my place-what are you doing here?" and you sort of knew now that you were in the back county again  !
