Towing a Tinnie

The problem I found towing the boat was, not having trailer brakes, it wanted to push my truck whenever I had to do a quick stop. My new cargo trailer has electric brakes which make it much easier to stop.

I may have missed it, but what are you towing with? How heavy is the boat and trailer? Is the boat trailer level when coupled to the truck?

I used to flat tow the avatar behind first a '66 Econoline long body and then a '67 Ranchero. Neither stopped it well but the angle of the tow bar with the Ranchero was much better and tended to be a straight forward push where it tended to try to lift the rear of the Econoline.
