Turnbuckles, Lost, Resurface

So... this morning I took my camper off my truck -- for the first time in years (yes, years!).

Guess what I found in the truck bed, under the camper:

I found two turnbuckles that disappeared from the eyebolts years ago, and which I assumed had escaped out of the back of the truck. :eek: But they hadn't escaped, just gone into deep hiding. :rolleyes: :p
I'd replaced them (long ago) and added backing nuts locking them (more or less) in place so they no longer work loose.

I need my truck bed for non-camper use for a couple weeks, which is very rare for me.
 
Yeah, it's kinda like finding a bunch of change down under the cushions of the couch!

Maybe you can sell them as "vintage" parts for an old rebuilt camper.
 
Yep, thought I had lost one of mine... found it next time I removed camper. At least now I have a spare but I too added locking nuts and seems to be working.
