Those of you who search cl might have noticed the 90's hawk in mesa, az. I own it now and hope to bring her home soon. Did any of you see it in person?

Not mine. I'm a proud owner of a 14 year older camper for 1/2 as much as this. Wish I saw this a few weeks ago.

For reference sake......Does a "2004 Hawk" have outside storm flaps? My aging memory is thinking it was stated here at WTW that this change happened in mid-to-late 2001. Anyone remember?

1996-97 Phoenix Pop Up.

I went and saw it last night and passed. Pretty darn rough. I talked him all the way down to $500 but I still passed. He knows it is in rough shape. He has kept it on his truck for a solid 7 years. I might even be scared that it would fall apart when removing it from his truck.

Ah... right. Well, perhaps someone on here with a compact pick'm'up might find it useful.

In other news... what is the aprox value of a fixer upper? say, mid 1980's Granby FWC. $1500? or closer to $500? I guess it all depends on the amount that needs to be fixed...

That $1500 to $500 is a pretty good guess for the range they are usually advertized for. IMO the upper end priced ones better have very good soft sides, as that's about the most expensive thing to replace, jacks and fully functional appliances. The thing to remember that FWC's built before 1990 are too wide for most newer pickups, hence they tend to linger on the "for sale" lists a bit longer. The other thing is that vintage tends to come available more towards Colorado as that used to be where they were built. That said, They are to be found closer to the west coast, (I found one) and the "fixing" part isn't all that tough to do craft/skill wise IMO.

Ah, a fit-guide. Thanks for posting that before I drove 500 miles to find a need a sawzall to make a granby fit in my 1994 Dodge 2500. Apparently I have an oddball truck with an odd shaped bed (my truck is very embarrassed). I think my dreams of an older low cost Granby may be dashed. In fact, now I'm not even sure what is going to fit my truck. The guide says my truck has same problems as a tundra. But not 100% clear what that means regarding a granby. Dang.
