To all,
I am reminded that each of us on this Forum have different objectives. For some it is the dream, for some it is the journeys that their camper will provide and for others building the camper is a part of the journey.
It is informational to see how "the factory does it", which makes it awe inspiring when I see the talented and determined members of the WTW community producing progress photos of their rebuild that look "just like the factory". My thanks to all of you who have shared your stories, your knowledge, your tips, and even your struggles.

However we do it, may we all enjoy Wandering the West. Keep safe. May God bless each of you during this Easter and all your years.

Boonie

Russ, yeah I’m happy the guys up there are taking a short bit outta their day to send me a couple progress pics. I’m not one to call and ask repeatedly how things are going I’m more of an “it’ll be done when it’s done” kinda guy, but seeing the pics of things coming together is very nice.

Really lookin forward to getting it back, I’ve never spent a night in it.

got a text from ATC, the camper is done, just waiting on the bed cushions/covers to be finished.

Jeff said it looks "very nice"

from my phone/computer and 400 miles away, id say he's right.

VI, I do believe you’re going to be pleased, it looks great. Did you find your truck?
I’m in litigation over my current truck and it’s dragging out forever it seems, but eventually I will.

I may end up putting it on a trailer temporarily/permanently so I can use it in the meantime. I spec’d a trailer out on Saturday and got a quote, not horrible. Could be cool. We’ll see.

Yeah, super stoked, waiting on them to tell me when the cushion covers are done so I can come up and pick it up. I offered to come get it, and they could ship me the covers, but they said it’s cool sitting there til they’re done.

On further thought, I have an upholstery shop I use for work (2 of em) that I coulda had make the cushions, but it’s not like I have a truck I can use it on yet so there’s no panic.

Looks great VI!!!!

Glad to see you went with the old school 4WC skin on the outside.

When we ordered our new 2018, we just had to have the old school siding. The new smooth sides & fiberglass sure look pretty but, it's gotta have that classic 4WC look. Besides, if it ever gets damaged its easier to fix. Metal Company here in CO used to supply the metal for 4WC when they where built out here. They still have the same metal siding.

yeah, ATC only uses this stuff, at least they didnt give me an option of smooth siding etc. the only option was with or without a black stripe, and i like the clean white look.

i have a friend with a smooth fiberglass sided one, and it is very nice, and another buddy with a raven in bumpy aluminum. i like it either way.

shotgun turnaround yesterday from OC to Sacramento and back, did it in 14.25hrs including the time to load it on the trailer.

got it to the shop, dropped the trailer and went home and crashed out.

this morning i got it off the trailer, onto the dolly, and washed the bugs off it.

Looks really good. Nice to know ATC does resto work like that.

yeah, they really nailed it on the rebuild, its as nice or nicer than it ever was.

im a big dude, and i don't like heights, so being up over the cab would sketch me out, add to that i need to be able to sit up in bed, and its not gonna cut it.
