Sorry there are no pics for this, I am having a hard time figuring this out on this forum, size limitation is difficult. Here is the link to the FB post I made with pics, below is the text. FB post included pictures.

I had to miss out on the FWC Rally due to some family issues. Gave me time to work on a project in my 2018 Hawk. I love the concept of the new interior LED lighting from a power perspective, but really do not care for the blue-white 5500K light. I feel like I am in a science experiment when it is on. I purchased some lighting gels, designed to tone 5500-6000K light down to about 3200-3300. Ends up looking like the incandescent lights we all grew up with and love. Did not give up more than a couple percentage points of brightness/lux, but feels much better.

  • Remove light from ceiling. Simply disconnect power adaptor by sliding it out of fixture, then disengage retention clips with small screwdriver, and GENTLY pry from ceiling. There is some sort of adhesive on there as well. Looks like about an inch of butyl tape. If the light has been on for a while it is easier due to warmth.

  • Unscrew one end of fixture and gently remove the lens of the light

  • Here is the lighting Gel I used, ordered from Amazon. Note the curvature of the lens, the curved portion faces down when reassembling light.

  • Use the lens as a template to cut a piece of gel. Make it a hair shorter and no wider than the lens, a bit narrower will make reassembly easier. Feed gel a couple inches into light assembly, followed by lens. use one thumb to gently pull gel ahead of lens as you slide the lens in with the other thumb. Stop when the gel has a couple inches left and alternately pull the gel back OUT and ease the lens in a little further. Take your time and you will end up with both parts lined up perfectly. Screw end back on, carefully to avoid stripping screws.

  • reinsert fixture into clips, making sure that they are positioned in the original's spots and fully engaged with edges of fixture. Enjoy new relaxing , OEM looking lights.

When I had the fixture down it showed the mfg. They do not make a warm white version of this

In the FB posting, I included a screen shot of the material I used on an amazon listing, so you can use that to order. FB post has a step by step photo series detailing procedure.

Material is Rosco 1/2 CTO amber lighting gel
