Water Explosion

I pressurized the water system in my 05 Grandby and quickly had water shooting out from a cabinet. It turns out there's a little silver ring that is a compression fitting that failed so a joint on at elbow separated. Any ideas on what that ring is called and where I might find one? The nearest parts spot, a Trailer Source Store had the whole elbow which would mean cutting the band and re-crimping a pex joint deep in a cabinet, a bad choice for me. Thanks Guys, Six5

Shark Bite fittings will probably/possibly be easier than crimping. If you can, post some photos so we can see what you’re dealing with.

BTW, was that city water? You might need a pressure regulator if the city water is quite high.

Those are called crimp rings. You can just replace them with standard hose clamps, which are readily available.

As Wandering Sagebrush said, you probably need a pressure regulator. I don't hook up a pressurized line to my camper. Instead, I just fill the tank and re-fill as needed.
