My neighbor with the rain gauge recorded over 8 inches of rain from the weekend storm.

Turned out his gauge overflowed. The total was 9.45".

In the Sierra Nevada these passes are now closed due to snow - Ebbetts, Monitor, Sonora, and Tioga. Let's hope the closures last through the winter!

Just after you posted the closures I was searching some other road info and saw that at least some of the passes were open,but just figured that Caltrans didn't up date the info.
So thanks for your up date.
