I spend far too much time reading ride reports over on AdvRider, a dual sport motorcycle oriented forum.
I came across this thread recently. Being a Marine, in a different stage of life, I'm a little slow to connect the dots.
But it appears one of our members (and his friends) did an extremely honorable thing to honor some fallen WWII aviators...in the NV desert.
Rather then offer a wordy post that offers little, here is the link. And the entire thread is very worthy read, especially post #115.
