What to use to repair small tear in Hallmark sidewall

The plastic corner on my Hallmark split and had a sharp edge which caught on the vinyl when raising the roof and made a 1/2" long slit. If anyone has made a successful repair on the sidewall, what did you use?

I've used this awning repair tape (and carry it along). Not saying it's the best but it has been "enough" for me. In a hot sunny climate expect it might peel. Others like clear gorilla tape or sail tape.

Thanks, I was wondering about using awning repair tape having had excellent luck with that on RV awnings.

I have a tear in my Grandby's vinyl. FWC says the material is PVC vinyl and to use PVC glue. Lots of instruction (text and videos) for repairing inflatable rafts/boats on the internet. i want my repair permanent as the tear is behind the front lift panel.

There is a multitude of YouTube videos on the subject as you suggest. What is emphasized is matching the repair material to the fabric and I was unsure what Hallmark uses.
