This was our first gathering of WtW'ers. It wasn't until we left that I realized I had not even opened my camera bag. The camaradie, conversations, food, rigs and activities had totally distracted me from taking pictures. Among other things, (including creating the event), Monte made sure that the gathering really existed by photographing it.
We really enjoyed everything about the event. Now that charcoal fire for cooking the corn was pretty much overkill. We built it in the campfire ring at Monte and the Lady's campsite. In the morning, I discovered that our gray water Homer bucket was essentially full and I asked Monte where I should dump it. He suggested his campfire ring as the charcoal still felt hot . I dumped nearly 5 gallons of gray water into the ring and soon had 5 gallons of boiling water.
Delvin was truly generous with his very delicious cooking. That Blackstone griddle cooked a lot of food. Momma Bear was just protecting her cub when she fled the scene as the territorial Poppa Bear came out to defend the food supply.
It was great to meet everyone there and convert virtual friends to real friends. Thanks to the Ski3pins for creating this gathering and herding the cats.
