    Which Wave to go

Mr buddy has some altitude limits that the Wave doesn't. Depends on where you camp, I bought a MB but returned it because of this. Much of my camping is high, 9, 10, 11,000', not this time of year :o From their manual: • When operating the heater at altitudes over 7,000 FT. above sea...

    Manual vs automatic transmission?

You should also be monitoring your exhaust gas temperature on your diesel motor....and let your engine idle until the EGT is below 400 degrees before turning off your motor. This will help ensure that your turbo doesn't warp. I have the set :) Totally agree especially if you have any...

    Wave versus Furnace

Okay, this weekend with a low of 18 degrees running the wave 3 on low kept my camper just about at 32 I'm really surprised it got that cool inside even on low. I have a big ole Grandby and in those conditions I would think I'd be at least in the 40's inside. I have done quite a bit of...

    Manual vs automatic transmission?

They have come a long ways in auto tranny design. That sounds cool, where did you get that? Even my old 99 7.3 with the auto I lock it out of overdrive on the really big grades but it rarely needs that. I added the trans temp and cooler which avoids any problems. Manual trans are great, on...

    Fuse question

You will also find they are color coded. So if you cannot read the number for any reason, look up the color. So anyone know when FWC ditched the glass fuses and went to blades? They did right? My 98 or whatever it is has glass, and in a rather inconvenient location

    Wave versus Furnace

Since I am gutting my keystone, I am thinking about ripping out the furnace and putting in a wave catalytic heater. I have a few questions: -How long (ballpark) will a standard deep cycle batter operate a 1986 furnace? -It looks like the cheapest you can find these wave heaters is around $300...

    Low Cost Mods

This looks good, and I may try it. I wonder if the roll will stay rolled under bumpy conditions... In your T-day jaunt perhaps you could find some really nice washboard and see how it holds up to high-amp vibration...maybe the north-entrance Saline Valley road? I'd test it myself, but I have...

    Sunday Morning Sex

Sunday Morning Sex I will never hear church bells ringing again without smiling..... Upon hearing that her elderly grandfather had just passed away, Katie went straight to her grandparent's house to visit her 95 year-old grandmother and comfort her. When she asked how her grandfather...

    A little smaller rig

Hmmm, yes, I don't see an engine in those drawings. Do you, Barko? Well I understand it is based on a 3 wheel scooter and most scooters have the engine attached to the rear suspension somehow so it might be under there. Otherwise it would still be good on the downhills.

I want one! Where do I get it, Barko? Beats me but here is more http://www.yankodesign.com/2010/08/26/one-person-camper-ape/ Not sure how well it would do on the River Road in BB :o

    A little smaller rig

Inspired by the Piaggio APE 50 tricycle, the German designer Cornelius Comanns has designed a one person home for modern travelers. The Bufalino Camper is a great mixture of Italian design and German functionality. The mini-camper comes with all services needed for modern people on the move...

AAA, but I can't remember if it's one or two, I haven't needed to replace them yet. I have a few of these and they use 3 AA, from Walmart.

    Camper Night Light

I bought a couple these from Amazon, nice for reading and I really like that you can clip it to most anything and point the light where ever so it can be a night light as well. Has 2 intensities.

Another 1/2 Ton versus 3/4 Ton Truck Question

I had my Grandby on an F150, managed although woefully underpowered for Western Mountains. I had airbags on it which helped with staying level but all the limits were of course still there. I never weighed it but I am sure I was well over capacity when loaded. I picked up a used F250 and...
