RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Portable Fridge recommendations

Good sale pricing direct from Engel on some of the 12v portables. The sale has been going on for at least a month, so not sure how much longer it will run. Puts them less than average ARB pricing and about $100 or so more than Truckfridge. If I could justify buying and storing a second fridge...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Another Sprinter convert

Stone grey is the best of all sprinter colors. We sold our stone grey 2014 sprinter with a sportsmobile top this summer. Our was 2wd, but we 100% require 4wd where we now live. We also are 300 miles away from closest authorized sprinter service and that wasn't acceptable for our usage of free...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Wanted small super light truck camper for 2016 tundra 4x4 trd off road regular bed, tell me your opi

Look into an all terrain camper ocelot. I believe it is narrower/more compact than the others. I could be wrong, as it has been a few years since we sold our tundra. The trd fake bead locks from a rock warrior model show up on Craigslist often, they are the best 17" option for the tundra.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West My new ARB fridge run test, 6 days of running battery voltage readings

http://www.equipt1.com/Downloads/Indel-B/Indel%20B%20Travel%20Box%20Test%20and%20Comparison%20Report.pdf The indel B is essentially the same as the truck fridge (according to all the techy gear geeks on expedition portal) I was going to buy an indel B over the truckfridge because of the very...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Thinking about a new truck. What to buy?

Test drove a new ram 2014 4x4 2500 cummins Laramie today. $10,000 off sticker without any negotiations. I like diesels and and I am ok with the overall higher costs. Nice truck and the price puts it close to lots of other vehicle options we are looking at. I want to replace our 2014 sprinter...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Toyota Tundra Does a Titan Move: Turns to Cummins for a Diesel V-8

MotoDave , I expected to like the truck, that is why I bought it new in 2011. I expected Toyota quality, and reliability. I had issues with it from day one, dealerships that didn't know how to address the issues, and the thought of owning a truck with a bad past service history out of warranty...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Toyota Tundra Does a Titan Move: Turns to Cummins for a Diesel V-8

All of these are older Toyotas. Anything newer than 2008 seems to be problematic. We have had a Toyota in our family since 1986. We will never have another new one. Not sure if anyone else is making better cars and trucks? I have over 20 years and 500,000 miles behind the wheel of a Toyota...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Toyota Tundra Does a Titan Move: Turns to Cummins for a Diesel V-8

I had a 2000 tundra and it was 100% solid and trouble free for many years and miles. I bought the 2011 based on that experience and the quality of my fj60 landcruisers, older Camry and even a tercel in high school that couldn't be killed. Toyota changed something in the way they build the...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Toyota Tundra Does a Titan Move: Turns to Cummins for a Diesel V-8

I just have the ratings from my own ownership of a bought new 2011 tundra double cab 4x4 Very cheap materials, all plastics feel cheap and plastiky. That truck felt like it was going to blow up at any point. Numerous factory recalls, drive shaft being the biggest. Issues from day one that...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Toyota Tundra Does a Titan Move: Turns to Cummins for a Diesel V-8

Great engine, but wrong application. The tundra is a low quality cheaply-made truck that deserves the cheap to build 5.7 gas that it has. I can't imagine spending 50k on a cummins in a toyota truck. The 2011 tundra we just sold will be our last (new-ish) toyota, would still get an old...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West 2013 Hawk Shell w/ Front Dinette Option for Sale

Do you have any interior shots? This is the exact build we would order from FWC. Not to be too personal, but how many are currently in your family, and how did it work? We have a 1.5 year old daughter, and my wife thinks the hawk would be too small? Thank you very much.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Maiden Voyage

Thank You both for the responses. Very helpful to hear the feedback of others. I think we are going to wind up going with the narrow ocelot shell, but have the extended north-south bed. A smaller fixed bunk widthwise under the bed extension would serve as seating, and a bed for our young...

Awesome trip! Any chance you have an interior photo or two of your camper? We are thinking of adding a drivers side window when we order, and visualizing the view and light inside the camper is hard. What other options did you order? Thanks for posting our photos.....more to stoke the camper...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Camping in my New 2012 Raven (Silver) with pictures

Love the silver....and agree that I don't care for the "wood" used in most "rv" vehicles. The silver option is, in fact, the only possible way that I have any hope of allowing the CFO (wife) to even consider agreeing to consider a FWC. I think it looks great on your truck and hopefully, soon...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Picking up the new Raven

Congrats! Camper looks great......enjoy. Post up any issues you do have with it. I agree that the glass looks Solid in person, and makes for a way more functional counter space. Bottle opener and towel bar look very nice as well. Thanks for posting your new camper.
