Any ideas on adding a railing without adding a mounting bracket to the camper? On an Alaskan I think it would conflict with the top piece when lowered.

I checked in with the factory last week, and I'm on the calendar to start building in early July, which is perfect timing for me. :wub:

When I visited the factory in January, there was a finished unit waiting pickup with AC on the roof. The unit was bigger than I expected, and took up some ceiling space inside too. I decided just to order the support and wiring. I can add the AC itself later if I want. In the last photo...

Thanks everybody! Torklift tiedowns installed successfully on the truck last weekend (thanks to people who know what they are doing...). They fit perfectly around my extended running boards. Now I just need a camper to tie down! :P

That's a great perspective Rusty. Alaskan already has custom (any size, shape, or layout) vs. semi-custom; there is probably a "package" that would satisfy many many buyers.

Exactly! I haven't yet gotten to tow a boat, but the acceleration is awesome. Everyone told me to get a diesel, and everyone was right! It occurred to me today that if I was getting work done on the truck, I could tow my car behind it, leave the truck behind and drive away...
