RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Thermostat

So, what would be your advise now, on my install. There appears to be no room above my frig for a vent on the inside of the camper as your picture shows. Should I block off the outside vent, or put some weather strip around the frig from the inside? I would just put weather strip at the...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Thermostat

We were venting the Waeco's directly to the outside but as we got feedback about cold air returning to the inside through the bottom of the refrigerator, we have since closed that vent (it only acts as an access panel) and added venting slots above the refrigerator as shown in the picture.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Stan: Question about FWC frame weldment

The picture that WaltK provided is typical of the passenger side of a Hawk. The vertical frame piece that is forming a "T" with the 5" channel piece above may be your best point of attachment. This vertical frame piece is where the fire extinguisher is attached. The 5" wide channel piece that...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Photos of Struts to Lift Roof

... the metal shaft part is always pointing down... That might keep the seals inside the plastic part in good condition... That is exactly how the manufacturers of these struts recommend they be mounted. Shaft down so that the seals stay lubricated.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West How 'Dust Proof' are FWC

OK but do you have specifics? I'm trying to get at the details of how they did that. Whenever we have seen a crack in the frame, like what is shown in the first picture, it has always been at the weld that is noted in the second picture. The 1x1 tube at the top of the door opening no longer...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West How 'Dust Proof' are FWC

The big strength problem in this area has been that the frames were cracking under heavy use. If all they did was go to a rounded door then this problem has not been addressed at all. Unless I am really not understanding and the rounded door actually takes stress off the frame here? I read what...
