Back when they were phasing out "regular" gasoline in the move to "unleaded" gasoline, they required manufacturers to make the opening smaller so the regular pump wouldn't fit in the opening of the unleaded required vehicles. I am probably just barking up the wrong tree.

Could it be so simple as fuel distribution systems? 1. We don't have enough diesel refinaries. 2. While my area has a very high amount of diesel pickups, of the 4 gas stations near my house, only 1 of them carries diesel fuel.

Yeah, the challenge is that I can add (2) of these for $300, or an OEM replacement tank for $1500 or so... Couldn't justify the replacement very easily - I could, but I'd have to work at it a little...

Is there an obvious reason that nobody makes a larger OEM replacement tank for a gasser? Transferflow makes some for Fords, but for Dodge they are all for diesels. Same with Aero. Just wondering...

Short sighted and all, sure, but back when I had my CTD I could never get over the swings in diesel prices. Sometimes it was about the same as 87 octane, then other times it was as much as $1 more per gallon than 87. If we were to add a lot more diesel burners to the market-place, I guess...

Myke, I'm pretty sure you probably just have a 2-way fridge - DC/LP, so it could run off the battery, but not 110, but if you are hooked to 110 and have a trickle charge going on your battery, no big deal. Since there are 2 manufacturers of pop-up campers in the Denver metro area - Lite-Craft...

I was telling Puffins - I had the camper opened up, stocking it for my work week when it hit, Tornado very low in the sky on my block even... All went well. We must have gotten about 3" of rain in a half hour, plus gumball sized hail. No leaks and no damage that I could see.
