OK, call me anal but... my 2015 Hawk Silverspur came with white doors on Hot Water Heater, Heater and Water inlet and it bugged me I always hated that the rest was gray and these were white. Saw that later model silver spurs came with all gray doors? Called FWC and they explained it was vendor...

Good trip to NM with a buddy. It was his first time with his, new to him, 1983 FWC... he loved it and is hooked :) He and his twin boys loved it. My dog Sydney always loves our trips ;)

What exactly is "newer" I have a 2015 Hawk how do I know if I have the float mode. I plug my camper in all the time parked in my shop between trips. I also have my F250 on maintainer too as it just sits too.

OK, now you have me wondering :( I only tighten my lugs to 95 but my 1/2 " Dewalt impact works fine. What would be recommended torque... F250 with Hawk running 35's on 20" factory rims?

Good battery impact wrench. looks about same size and weight and can be used for many other applications.

On my Superduty I bought an extra tailgate camera and mounted just below step of my Hawk. Works great and did not need to pillage the tailgate ;)

Yes I use pressure relief and filter. I'm betting my hot water tank is now cracked maybe? Put water in freshwater not leaking. I'd guess however if I turn pump on it would try and fill heater? I don't see a fuse to turn heater system off just the on off switch. I'll wait a bit longer before...

I too purchased Silver Spur exterior to match my truck. The white doors have always bugged me :( My 2015 Hawk has white AC power fitting and door too. I think newer models at least that is grey. If anyone has or does paint doors would you please post pics and your results with specs?

I don't mean for registration in USA. You will be going past the 26 mile mark so need the vehicle registered in Mexico. It's the 6 month temp registration through Bamjercito. I have heard the full size truck with Slidein camper puts you past their gross weight limits? I realize Baja does not...

I will be VERY interested in how you get the FWC registered for temporary entry. I'm trying to quiz the Banjercito government agency. I know Baja is not that particular but mainland is :( I'm having a hard time explaining a slidein.

If they still have the upfitter option you should really get that. As well as tow package so you have brake controller if or when needed. I also concur with crew cab and 4x4. I've removed my back seats for my large dog when along or more storage space when not. I have my Hawk mounted full time...
