Reflectix here. Works great and folds flat for storage underneath the mattress. I think I've got $50 in it. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Reflectix-50-sq-ft-Reflective-Roll-Insulation-24-in-W-x-25-ft-L/3011904

The farther you are from major cities, the safer you are. The rural Mexicans are kind, hardworking and generous.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Interior panels loose on a new Fleet Shell?

Couldn't FWC install a vapor barrier or something to eliminate the under mattress moisture you guys deal with?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 46 gallon Tundra tank

Having the capacity doesn't mean you have to fill it up always but it's there when you need it. I have a tuner on my Cummins that provides me greatly enhanced performance but I use it sparingly. Again it's there when you need it. As you say everything's a tradeoff. Enjoy your new range.

Get yourself a 2gal Reunel garden sprayer. Lengthen the hose and shorten the wand. 1/2 full of room temperature water supplemented with boiling water from your coffee pot. Ahh! The longer hose and shortened wand enables all the nooks and crannies to get attention Typically in Baja we would...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West My roof is popping like an aluminum soda can

Wouldn't a little thicker roof do with bracing perhaps. For what FWC charges a fix must be out there. Do the ATC owners report this flaw?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Coast getaway

In 2009 we drove from San Diego via 1 & 101. The Recession had just got started and people just weren't traveling much. The coastline was sunny and dry for the two weeks. The California parks are pricey. I love the steel wheels.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Best place to buy D or E load range tires

Discount will beat them but may give you a bit of a stinkeye as they have to order them. They'll sell you certificates for replacement, rotation and rebalance regardless of where you bought them. I got a deal on mine through my friend's shop and had Discount take it from there.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West truck/camper combo advice/opinions.

Keep the Dodge and get a popup with your height requirements. My Northstar has 6'7" headroom and I'm 6'4" so it works for me. I couldn't even get into the cab of a Colorado without bashing my head. Nice truck but I'm too big and inflexible anymore. I'm spoiled by my cab room. I have to scoot the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Best Tires For 1995 F350 & 1996 Squire 8000?

I'm sold on a 3-ply sidewall E-rated tire. Toyo AT2 Xtremes have them. Nitto offers them on some of their tires as well as Cooper ST Maxx. I had a near catastrophic blowout as well as cut's and flats with some Bridgestone's way back and it's been Toyo's ever since. If you go to an 18" rim much...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Loading Hallmark on new truck?

You're going to have to build a 2" external frame with some cross members under the camper to raise it for clearance. I'm not a fan of retaining the tailgate with a cabover. The folding scissor steps work well.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC not permitted at Washington State Park Tent sites

Concur on the clean, dog friendly campgrounds of coastal Oregon. We were up after mid Sept. last year and the mobs had gone home, and peace and quiet had been restored. Bonfires on the beaches, people riding horseback. Geez. It brings me back to Southern California in San Diego in the 50's. I'm...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Keeping out the foot / shoe dirt....

Polyfiber 5x5 mat outside with an astroturf 3x3 mat on top of that. More mats inside. It works pretty well but dirt still gets in. I use the broom I store and just sweep everything daily.
