Anyone have their back window glass shift down (leaving a 1" gap) due to, seemingly, dried glue/sealant?

I am going to attempt to take off the trim and delve deeper into it this evening or tmrw....has anyone had something similar happen to theirs?

My 2005 Hawk has this problem too... and I haven't done a permanent fix -- just duct tape, so far.
So I'm also interested in a good fix.

Our glass hasn't slid, but I noticed the rear window leaking and removed the bezel around it to discover it's only held in by traditional window glazing putty, no silicone, or any kind of actual adhesive.

It comes apart easily. New small blocks underneath (plastic scrap pieces work well) and 3M 4200 sealant will get you back in business.

I removed the glass and cleaned old sealant, then reset the glass using 3m marine silicone. That was 5+ yrs ago, still holding up just fine. FYI, Silicone is used for aquarium construction.
