Pam and I have been a lot of places and the trips have all been memorable. Utah is just one of best places to camp. Here in AZ there are wonderful off the beaten track areas. All of the camping we did in CA where I lived most of my life was just great. But I must say when ever I get ready for a Baja trip it's different. It always seems to me that we're going on an epic journey. It is far and a way my favorite place to camp and It's the place we've been to the most over the years. I'm not sure if it's the wonderful people we meet down there. The Sea of Cortez and all of it's surroundings. The fact that Baja is so not the U.S. To be sure CA has great desert and beach camping but its just not Baja. And of course the grey whales. Or maybe it's the whole package. Baja really is indeed the whole package. To those of you who've never been to Baja or have but not visited the whales I encourage you to do so. It is literally life changing. I've been going to Baja since my parents fist took me there in 1948. And if the changes we've seen the last 7 or 8 years are any indication, the Baja I once knew, and know now, will soon cease to exist so you better hurry.
