Buck, if you're just plugging into normal household style outlets, you won't need another adapter. If you're plugging into a 30 amp RV power post, you''ll need this style of adapter (the 30 amp male to 15 amp female dogbone) or this style that is smaller. A surge protector is typically dogbone style, and has 30 amp male to go into the power post, and a 30 amp female to go to the RV power cord. For a FWC, you would also need to have a 30 amp to 15 am adapter that goes into the surge protector.
Your extension cord will go between the dogbone and the pigtail that came with your camper.
