Driving a FWC with roof in wedge mode?

And yet we have an entire thread (can't find it at the moment) to dumb things people have done to their campers and yet they survive.

Felt a little sluggish, right?
Actually not that I noticed. I have a full-size diesel. But as we were driving along about 15 minutes after leaving the house, I remembered not doing the front latches and my heart sunk. I asked my wife in a panic to try and look up from her window to see if I was correct and sure enough I was. We were at a stretch of highway that I am very familiar with and knew that I had about 4 miles to go before there was a safe spot to pull off, so I immediately slowed down below 50 and began emitting the involuntary shame sighs. The nice lady in the horse trailer that I had passed a few miles before came up behind and passed us in the fast lane, honked her horn and pointed up. I gave the universal timid hand wave, nod, and shoulder slump sign for "Thank you, I already know." I was glad that I am a courteous driver, because it would have been 10 times more embarrassing if I had passed her earlier like a maniac.

And I thought this topic was gonna be about what I have forgotten to do twice....latch the top down and be at a light when someone pulls up next to me and points towards the top of my camper. It's definitely a "Duh" or as Homer says "Doh" moment. A couple of those and you won't forget again. As for purposely doing it, unless you going like less than 20 MPH, it can't be good on the struts that are extended, they're not designed for that.
Besides the fact that driving around in "wedge mode" has gotta look pretty funny.
