We had chickens, we knew we had foxes in the area too. Our neighbor told me had had a den under his porch and they had babies. The foxes kept getting closer to our fence line. One day I went out and tried throwing rocks to scare them away and they just stopped and looked at me like that. One even walked over to a rock I threw to see if maybe it was something to eat! I quite throwing rocks to scare them and decided to beef up the perimeter. Well, the foxes eventually one out, we gave the last of our chickens away (we still miss the eggs and the garden fertilizer) but we enjoy the foxes more.
