Hawk roof repair

On our Hawk, the previous owner forgot to undo one of the clamps that hold down the roof, causing that part of the roof to be distorted/bent, has anybody found a simple way to repair this?? I was thinking of holding down the opposing areas somehow, then using a hydraulic jack to push up where it is bent down, forcing that area of the roof back up into place. Has anybody had experience with this?? Or can recommend a place to get this repaired?? We are from Canada, heading down to Arizona through I-15, we are a bit flexible as to where we can to to take this to get repaired. Northern California is very far from where we are going

You might be surprised what you can do with just a couple blocks of wood, a little muscle power and/or a dead blow hammer. Aluminum can be tweaked quite easily unless there is a hard crease in it.

Thats what I used when the dog forgot to undo one of the latches.

Or maybe with the top down, place a block under the "low" spot and resting on the camper body and jack down the adjacent area using say, a garage beam or header to jack against.

I straightened the roof on my old 2002 Hawk with two wood blocks 2x4 and a BIG C-clamp. Bend was in the front so I clamped from below the overhang to the top of the roof. The aluminum moves easy.

I think Bill has the right idea of using a block of wood under the bent low spot, and then you could use pipe clamps (You can make them any length you need) on each side of the bend, with one end of the pipe clamp on the bottom edge of the camper body that hangs over the truck bed, and the other end of the clamp on the roof. It won't take much, as there is just the outside trim, and a one inch tube on the outside of the roof frame. Two clamps long enough, with slow tightening would probably get the job done.

I'd probably suggest using a piece of wood where the clamp jaw rests on the roof, to prevent any small indentations on the roof skin from the clamp.

I am going to try this next week at a friend's shop, he has everything needed to do this, it should work (in theory)
