Welp, now I've gone and done it. We tried to rebuild my camper's roof and now I need the trim that goes around the edge of the pop-up roof. We basically destroyed it trying to re-use the old....

My camper "brand" is Phoenix before they were Phoenix, and is made just like a four wheel camper. So, lets just say it's an "early 4WC". I called ATC, and they are super nice, but want like $500 to crate and ship. Someone, somewhere must know a source for this aluminum? Please?

I have a 10 year old Phoenix camper and it is not parked where I am, so I am going from memory, but couldn't you get some aluminum flashing and bend, caulk, and fasten?

Thanks sir, I suppose I could, but want it to look better than my mind is picturing that outcome, lol!. Also needs to be stiff enough to try to attach some kind of weatherstripping around the front.

The lengths of the extrusion are likely the problem with shipping it. As a guess I'd say that each piece will be 10' long. Might see if there is a local RV supplier that can get it along with the vinyl insert.

In Tucson, we have a enterprise called Tucson Metal Supplier. They sell to major manufacturers and to the hobbyist. They have a showroom/city desk area and have bins of material available. They have steel, aluminum, copper, brass and fasteners. And in all imaginable shapes from sheet, tubes, rectangular, squares, and rounds. Most of what they have on the floor is 3-5' lengths, but longer is probably available. I don't know where you live, but I imagine most larger cities have comparable operations.

Thanks for the suggestions, and yes, the size is the shipping expense, for sure. I have looked all over for the correct profile, but I'm not finding it anywhere. I was hoping someone here had ordered some before and could at least tell me what it's called?

Looking around last night, I did find a similar profile in Vinyl / EPDM that is used for sealing garage doors. I'm thinking that maybe it could go over the top of the old crappy looking aluminum and make it look better. Anyhow, the search continues - and any help is much appreciated!
