There are a lot of birds, especially water birds, here in the SouthEast.
On a kayak paddle today on the Dead River and Lake Griffin (near Fruitland, Florida) I spotted this guy on the shore.



I'm no birder, so I used Google Lens to ID it from my photo:
"limpkin" Aramus Guarana.
