I have lots of great pictures.. unfortunately this site makes it very hard to upload and I am bit challenged when it comes to technology..

For any of you out there thinking about a Baja trip.. make the time. It is quite the experience in my opinion. I wouldn't call it a vacation as travel can be work, but Baja is pretty cool. We have made the trip two years in a row and both trips were totally different. We feel safe there, but also use caution as well, we don't camp alone and we don't travel at night. Baja is a interesting place.. Sometimes it seems like its struggling, huge campgrounds empty, yet some places busy.. Its hard to tell if some of the places will survive or go out of business. We try to stimulate the economy to the best of our ability. We aren't rich but try to buy from local people and eat good food out when we can. Some seriously good Ceviche Tostados in Guerrero Negro.. and Scallop tacos.. My wife wants to start a non profit to help with schools in Baja as we heard the small towns are failing because people leave to send their kids to school (not sure if that is true, just what we heard)..

Some parts of Baja are more magical than others, its the desert, its dry, sometimes very barren. The cacti are simply amazing throughout and the people are so genuinely nice. If you love Ceviche.. Baja is where its at..

Highlights for us.. Puertocitos for us each time.. Where else can you get hot springs by the ocean, some so hot you can't get in until the tide is right? Cabo Pulmo is a must for anyone wanting to get into the water and swim with marine life. Great snorkeling and great diving.. Todo Santos/Cerritos.. we rented a house there for a week and had family fly down and meet us.. good beginner surfing at Cerritos, great food and a fun town to explore.. good hiking.. The drive from Los Barriles to La Ventana was stunning, and from La Ventana to La Paz.. We love La Paz, cool little city good food.. we did a whale shark tour and it was superb to swim with those giant sharks.. San Ignacio is one of the coolest old cities in Baja.. Guadalupe valley is beautiful and I had the best Chilaquiles of my life.

We did not spend as much time in the north as we anticipated as the weather was funky.. and cold. We have been to Bahia de Los Angeles twice now and just have had bad luck with weather, but it is pretty.. We did not make it to Agua Verde this year either, that place is magical too..

I was very happy with our camper.. Honestly when we were ready to head out I had a freak out moment.. I built this thing back from the frame and though, oh ****, what if I didn't do it right?? What if it falls apart? Well, I drove some rough roads and not always in a nice way.. sometimes you just gotta get after it to get where you are going before dark.. Nothing broke and it all worked out great. Punta Chivato was spectacular and secluded.

All of your before photos look eerily familiar! Your camper came out great!

Did you have to do any refurbishment of the windows? A couple of mine have trim around the glass that is dried out and shrunken.

Yes, your pics give me PTSD.. haha.. worth it all!

I had to get a new window for the front but other than that I didn't do anything except I used silicone in the corners where the trim had shrunk..
