A little carb. cleaner on the bar would help to kill the bar oil smell. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West free 30lb struts, pay it forward

I have been in contact with Grant and have discussed that I would like to have them and pay for shipping, he stated he would ship them to me as soon as he was able and had time, I told him no hurry. Just a FYI. He hasn't been on here in awhile. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Chainsaw and FWC

I don't believe that you'll get any smell at all from the just the chainsaw itself, the caps seal very well, now a small fuel can may be a bit different. A exterior mounted box would work well for both. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Realigning the camper?

Once that I got my camper aligned and set like I wanted it I installed aluminum clips at the back to prevent any shift or movement just in case. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West 110V system, have it or not, use it or not

My Eagle is an off the grid camper, I tend to steer clear of any place that provides power. Solar keeps the battery tended to while out and at home. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Doesn't anyone use their slide-in in the Southeastern U.S.

We do have Land Between the Lakes here in Ky. which does actually have backcountry camping. Just have to watch what season you go, bugs, humidity and so forth. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Rear bumper design thoughts and fabricator....

I mostly use a Partner stove but if just making something simple or heating coffee water the little Coleman single burner stoves are quick and easy. Also gives me a third burner option if I need it. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Rear bumper design thoughts and fabricator....

I prefer the single swing away, it leaves one side of the truck so that you don't have to walk around something, also gives me a larger kitchen counter table to work at. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Doesn't anyone use their slide-in in the Southeastern U.S.

I'm in Ky., I pretty much only use it out west, just not anything around here that peaks my interest. Love the west. Spend about 2 months out there every year. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Rear bumper design thoughts and fabricator....

I almost went with the Aluminess Deluxe box but didn't just because I don't need that much storage. They can make the boxes to hinge open down or swing to the side also. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Aluminess Bumper Owners - I need help

I'll second CBI as a very good fabricator. I don't know if they're doing any aluminum but they will build just about anything that you want or need. I purchased an Aluminess box and incorporated it into my CBI bumper and single swing arm. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West ISOTHERM "vs" ARB Fridge Efficency?`

My group 31 NorthStar 12 volt does also serve as a backup starter battery if needed. 2-6 volts would take up more space and weight for my install. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West ISOTHERM "vs" ARB Fridge Efficency?`

Only problem with the two 6 volts is if one goes bad you have nothing where as if they are 12 volt and you lose one you still have a useable 12 volt system/ battery. Ron

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West How important are rear lockers vs. "limited slip"?

I have an 09 Tacoma and in the Maze at Canyonlands a few weeks a go, can't say that I really needed the locker but did engage it twice. You really don't want to slip a tire or spin on rock, that is when things can break. I was glad that I had the option. Never slipped a tire. It's a rougher...
