I have had 2 Tacomas with ARE caps, I like them a lot! They are well built and both have stayed dry! I like them because they are sturdy and relatively secure. I have the felt-like material on the interior sides and walls and it helps to prevent condensation from dripping on you as you sleep...

Rob in MT, I usually re-hydrate the veggies in a bowl with water first then add to soup or stir-fry but you can add directly to the pan as you cook. You just need to watch as you go, if you need more water as you cook just add more. I find that I can "wing-it" pretty well on most dishes...
