RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Alaska

Ted, For me, Seward Peninsula is a waste. It is very crowded, very touristic. I was there once and felt my days were wasted, couldn't wait to escape. Gene *Bump* Gene, We're planning a Denali trip and wondered if you (or the rest of you who have been there) thought the Kenai peninsula...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anybody make a stovetop water heater coil?

I was thinking about this very unit (without knowing it existed) last week while standing under my failing battery powered shower pump. Time for an upgrade. How would you rate the flow: A- you can dodge the drops, B- ok, but keep pumping, C- Aaahhh, D- I'm out of water over here and haven't...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Used Camper Alert Thread

Already deleted by author. What was it? It was a toyota tacoma 4x4 with a very unique aluminum skinned flatbed camper shell set up for off road use. It must have gone quickly.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West edgestar deal!

I can see where this could becomes a real mind twister, add in lights, heater, etc. compounded by time of year, hours of day light, cold weather, warm weather and you end up with a real world guesstimate! When I was trying to decide what batteries I'd need I think I used something like this...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Outside shower using existing pump?

I have the Zodi pump sprayer and it works fine when there is no tree, but is pricy. How big is the Zodi pump canister without the stand and burner? Do you use the provided burner or can you heat it on your camper stove?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West edgestar deal!

So without solar and on one 100AH AGM house battery you might keep the Edgestar going over night, 24 hours, more? What would be your guess? I think when I was estimating our power needs I assumed a 25% duty cycle on the manufacturer claim of 5.4A, so about 1.35A continuous. I'm a pure novice...

I've used the starbucks instant when on the road or at camp. It is pretty convenient... But this has been my preference for a while now. http://www.amazon.co...30668989&sr=8-1

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West edgestar deal!

How long will the Edgestar run on a charged 12v battery. Do you guys have solar setups to keep the battery charged when your not running your engines? What amp solar panels will keep up with the Edgestar's draw? Our edgestar 43 runs pretty much indefinitely on 2 100AH interstate AGMs and our...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Outside shower using existing pump?

We've always used the collapsible sun showers but I've been eyeing the hard shell pressure sprayers mostly because it's not always easy to find a tree to hang the shower from when you need it. Can't find one of these for sale yet but might be a good combo of the pressure sprayer and the...

Nice price on that 63! We have the 43 quart, like it a lot, kinda wish we had the 63, didn't have room for it at the time. Before we had our camper we had the fridge in the back seat and plugged it into the truck's 12v plug. A few times it acted like it was loosing power and shut off...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West life change and a FWC?

We had an older full size step side when we started camper shopping. Although we could have had a custom shell built to fit the truck, after much research and input from the members here we switched trucks. As we learned, it's easier to find a truck than a camper, so start there if you can, or...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Air Compressor Sale

We like ours, nice and compact, works well. Just don't touch the fins without gloves after it's been running a while... And keep an extra air gauge handy. The one on our unit seems off by about 10%.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Front Brake Pads

The pads seizing to the rotors happened to me, too, and I was told it is common with the stock Ford brake pads on Rangers. My '86 ranger did not do this. My '98 did. Brakes would lock completely the first stop sign I came to in the morning after a humid night. My F-150s never did this.

I have the Footwell Water Tank. Love it, great product. Hadley, do you get a plastic taste to your water with the footwell tank? I've been looking at it and the upright flat tank as well as various pillow tanks for a while now but would like to avoid plastiky tasting water if possible.

Did you "burn" it off before using it for the first time? My little Coleman recommended using it for the first time outside and burning off any chemical smells. I haven't had any smells from mine, it just isn't big enough for keep the Hawk warm. Jack I didn't "burn it off" outside before...
