Since there is virtually no weight above the truck bed, your center of gravity should be unchanged. If your truck could get somewhere before, It will get there again, with the ability to stay a while.
Follow your initial gut instinct and go with Bigger & Higher Lift Jack plus Base Plate. You never know WHERE you will be or at what ANGLE you will be in. Let everyone else deal with their Stock Jack.
The Last Little Toyota. The rear springs are weak on this model truck and I would ditch the tires and get something else if you plan to go off road ever. Remember, air bags do not replace springs so get some strength in the rear.
I had propane smell outside that ended up coming from my stove connections that had been beat up pretty bad from 13 years of off roading. But instead of smelling up the inside of the camper; since the stove top was down all the time except when the burners were lit. It was blowing back through...
Second question - the rear pop up assembly had a blowout at some point, and now it hits the rear countertops when driving (isn't able to be held up to the roof anymore). it looks like a simple fix as there is only one hole, but my question is what hardware was here? Was it a button? There are...
I just spent 5 weeks in New Mexico this fall & winter and I thought about that Artic Pak a few times since it was 16 degrees many nights. I'm sure I would not have used it though; it took up a lot of room and was difficult to install. We just used our zero degree sleeping bags and heat packs in...

The pictured Rain Gutters would cause a lot of problems clearing Snow off the roof of our Campers. Into every life a little rain must fall; however a load of snow can result in damage
Keep in the back of your mind that Experts tell you to bang 2 pots together to stop charging bears; However, when they are doing their research in the back-country, there is usually someone along with a 7mm magnum as backup. What is good for the flock of Ganders is not always good for the Goose.
FWC's Yakima Tracks are a solid stable system in all types of road conditions except Airborne. In addition it is fairly easy raise the roof without removing the the canoe each night.
I lean it everywhere including the glass door on the camper. The weight on the ladder is taken up by the ground, not the top contact points on the ladder.
There is no problem leaning an extension ladder against your truck or anywhere else; I use them all the time when using the canoe on trips. The 8 foot ones collapse small and fit nicely in the wheelwell.
A FWC Dealer is selling a show room Model Hawk for 25,000+ and for those that do not know what a FWC Ranger is; It's a slightly smaller Grandby that was built for early Tacomas.
Is that what new FWC are going for now, Over $25,000 dollars plus TAX? Thats over $10,000 more that I paid for my new, loaded 2007 Ranger, including Tax
