    Victron Orion Troubleshooting

So this is weird...and I am hoping the community might be able to help me out. I have had a Lithium setup for about 3 years now. I have a Battleborn 100 AH, Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30, Victron Orion-TR Smart 12/12-30 Charger, and a Victron BMV-712. Everything has worked well since...

2 Rieco Titan Jacks (slightly bowed)

I have 2 Rieco Titan jacks for sale. I believe they are the originals that came with the 2008 hawk. They both move up and down fine, but are not perfectly straight. I'm sure someone handy could figure out a way to straighten them. They are definutely usable as is. Bottoms are flat metal...

Rut roh, truck bed cracking at tie downs

Hi Dave, I had a 2014 F150and had a similar problem. IN 2021 I got a new F150 I bought the mule brackets. Mule was very helpful for me-their instructions are pretty weak. This is what I received from Mule: " I've been out in the shop while they have been installing them, but never installed...

Upgrading JRV FWC Water Monitor to a SeeLevel Monitor

Hey all- This could be a nifty upgrade for some of those whose water monitors konk out. I found out that this is a JRV board with FWC labeling. This seemed pretty common at the time. This was from a 2008 FWC Hawk. After testing most everything and from what I read, the culprit was a...

    Original Water/Battery Monitor not working

After some testing, and replacing of wires, I think the circuit board might be bad. Looking for a plug and play upgrade. Looks like JRV "MicroMonitor" is a clone. https://nationwiderv.myshopify.com/products/jrv-fresh-water-tank-monitor-black Has anyone done a SeeLevel II tank monitor? You...

    Original Water/Battery Monitor not working

I have a 2008 hawk and have noticed the factory water/battery monitor does not work. The display is but but the lights don't change on the status of the tank or the battery monitor. It is always in the empty on both displays. Seems to me like a possible electrical issue or a sensor issue...

    2019 Grandby Jack Bracket Removal

I am not sure about how to assess the damage to the frame. I think you would likely to have remove the corner mounting brackets, peel back the siding, and look. On the other hand, you will see in the forum that others have had issues with corner brackets. Mine were pretty dangerous and that...

Free for a reason- Hawk restoration/renovation

I have a 2008 hawk and after a few issues with the mounting of the jack brackets and the self tapping screws tearing out (`15 years later), I ended up using riv nuts for some. Not sure if it technically makes a stronger connection or not.

    Mattress foam for 2001 Hawk

We ended up just finding a mattress topper we liked that had similar height to the stock foam and just cut to dimensions. Unfortunately I can't recall the brand. It works great.

    Mule Expedition Outfitters?

I have found them to be reputable. I've never been to the physical store. I ordered the F150 frame brackets (for extra support) and they have performed as expected. I also ordered the FWC extension plates. I had an issue where they bent (likely user error) and they sent me a new pair, no...

    Camper on an electric F-150

I looked briefly at getting a F150 hybrid. The payload numbers weren't great so I went with a different model. I would take a look at the payload numbers. The other thing is range. Charging infrastructure is not really conducive to off grid activities.

Mule's Solution to the F150 Alu Bed issues....

I thought I would provide an update on the Mule brackets. After a good 6 months with my camper on full time, I finally took the camper off for the off-season. I thoroughly inspected the bed and found no issues such as cracks or bed warping. It looks like the brackets are doing their job. I...

Yes, do not use CASTERS! When I bought my FWC, they were on the jacks and advertised to me as an upgrade and reportedly a dealer had said "they work really well."

AT Overland fuel can holder - fuel can help.

@Adventurebound, I am in the same boat as you. What did you end up doing? I ordered the "scepter" style but from what I am reading regarding Wavian, although costly, seems to be the much better option. According to the AT overland website, the dimensions of the holder are actually the same...
