Here is my 1976 8 ft. CO mounted on my 1988 4x4 F-250 XLT Lariat HD pickup. It has a 460 gasser and C6 trans with 3:55 gears. I drove it about 80 miles home from Los Gatos and didn't even feel it was there. Getting the new Pirelli seals installed and sealing the exterior with new butyl tape and sealant. A little work on the electronics and a plumbing check and I should be ready to go for a short weekend next month as a shakedown cruise.

Here is my '63 NCO mounted on a M116 military trailer. I pretty much gutted the inside because of some neglect from the previous owner. My girlfriend added the wood beams in the ceiling and my step-dad(cabinet maker)did the Corian countertops. The only thing left to do is make a table that matches the rest.

Here's my 'hero shot', so called because I got special permission to stay at this observatory where the winds blew hard. Camp spot photo also. Up to 25 knot all night every night ( assigned spot, couldn't finagle ) which didn't phase the Alaskan.

I confess it's cheating as I had bathroom access and kitchen access if I wanted. Got permission to camp due to making a chalk mural up there. Posting the hero shots as I put my filthy chalk stuff in outisde storage, and the rig barely felt that wind - in other words she performed exactly as she was designed to do. All the wind did was cool off the cabin after hot days of an inversion layer. This site was a real score - thanks for sharing the stoke!

1993 F250 XLT w/460 V8 with original 43k miles & 1995 10' CO Alaskan Camper with Boat Lift.

Added a Curt Class 3 front hitch, folding Curt cargo basket and Better Built Aluminum locking box to carry spare propane tank, Honda EU2000 Generator & Generator fuel.

Kept me very warm in 19 degree OAT during hunting season last year.

Next project is to build carry brackets for a 14' pop-up tent alongside where the Rotopax fuel can is mounted and a back door removable awning.

happy New Year everyone,
next project update with pictures:

I built metal carry brackets to haul a Costco 13x13 pop-up tent using a pair of commercial door hinges and plate steel.
Mounted them to my camper uni-strut.
It hauls it nicely and doesn't stick out past the mirrors.
I used high density foam on the back side of the plate so not to scratch the truck body.
For the rear door awning, I struggled to find something that was easily removable and durable so I just decided to lift up the pop-up tent and hang above the door onto the boat rack.
I zip tied the tent frame to the boat rack and use window washing poles extending the rear height and voila! - instant waterproof / sunshade area where I need it the most.

At least it wasn't a blue tarp like the previous years!

1968 Alaskan nco I acquired a couple years ago. Out of all my Alaskan's I have had this by far is the nicest original interior one I have ever got. All the appliances work on propane and I was surprised when the fridge got cold and the freezer made ice.
