Current Spike in Gas Prices

Why OH WHY does Oregon currently have the 3rd-highest gas prices in the USA?
(Washington is a very-close 4th)
Only Alaska and Hawaii -- the crazy states, where everything is expensive -- are higher.

Whatever the reason, it's weird that the national average is down from a year ago while Oregon is up from a year ago.

I guess I need to drive somewhere far away so I can afford to drive.

I can see the refinery that makes the gas from my house - and we pay roughly 4.80 per gallon in Alberta. Taxes are killin me. Alberta has the cheapest gas in Canada and its still expensive.
