2.89 for diesel today. The normally cheapest spot across the street had it for 3.09. Propel is introducing a new fuel "diesel hpr" whatever the heck that is. May be an introductory price or they just forgot to see what its selling for across the street. They claim hpr is a high performance biomass fuel containing no biodiesel. I'll admit to being unclear on that.
Craig that sounds like what they have in Europe.
In our times driving in Spain I have noticed two Diesel types.

At the cheapest gas station in Bend - "Space Age" - (I'd go there even if it wasn't the cheapest -- just for the name) I paid $2.499/gal for Regular Friday afternoon. At the same station this afternoon I paid $2.599. That's up 10¢/gal in just 48 hours. :cautious:

If this trend continues, gas will be selling for almost $9/gal by the 4th of July.

Just filled the car in Castroville.$3.25 reg.
But diesel is $3.19.
About the first time I have seen diesel lower than gas.
Oh well. Can't use it so doesn't matter.
Probably won't stay that way very long.

$4.69 in Furnace Creek
No gas available in Scotty's Castle
Cash only in Furnace Creek

Very slow internet in Furnace Creek.

The Truth About Cars, March 5, has an educated take on what is going on with fuel prices and what to expect this year:
http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2015/03/dude-wheres-cheap-gasoline-truth-oil-part-iii/

A couple of quotes:

"If you drive a Tesla, Leaf or a Volt, you may not have been to a gas pump lately. For the rest of us you're probably wondering how in the Hell did he get it so wrong! There are some pretty amazing things happening in the oil industry, and a perfect storm gathered to spike gasoline prices in the short term, and has set up a tidal wave of oil that could completely collapse both crude oil and refined fuel products just as the summer driving season begins."

"If the crude oil has nowhere to go, producers will be forced to throttle back production. That means any plunge in both oil and gasoline prices will be short lived. The pendulum will swing back the other way as the supply tightens quickly, and that ugly price spike that I wrote about coming in 2016 right around the time of US elections, that would be the next step. I still think it's still OK to plan that cross country drive in your Challenger Hellcat, but maybe time it closer to Labor Day."

$2.18 Today for the 85 Grade today @ the Shell Mts. of Colorful Colorado! $2.42 for the Mid Grade 87 (less Ping on the Passes).

Major production issue in CA right now has CA prices up. Fire at the socal refinery put a sizable dent in the supply.

I'm still surprised how much variation there is. 2.89 for diesel at my local station. 3.05 at the safeway in tahoe but some stations are up to 3.65. 2.99 at the casino in Topaz.
