...A High Impact Late Season Winter Storm will bring Mountain
Travel Impacts Today into Early Next Week...
.A pair of Pacific systems are arriving this weekend bringing
significant late season snowfall to the mountains. The initial
storm moving in today will bring periods of snow to areas between
3,500 and 5,000 feet. Expected amounts will range from 6 to 12
inches ahead of a stronger system set to drop heavier snowfall on
Sunday. An additional 1 to 2 feet of snow is expected leading to
periods of mountain travel impacts. For those who must travel,
expect chain controls, possible road closures, snow-covered
roads, poor visibility, and significant travel delays. Snow
levels will lower down to 3,000 to 4,000 feet Sunday night. Storm
total snow amounts will likely range from 1 to 3 feet, locally
over 4 feet possible. Snow showers continue on Monday
