how long is it safe to run water pump

so when you sanitize your water tank an draining it , can you run the water pump to shorten draining processes??? if so how long is it safe to run pump !?? thanks

I have drained my tank using the pump. Does not take long and I have checked the pump motor and it did not get hot.

I ran mine for a couple of days on one occasion (oops) and it was fine. I regularly run it to drain the tank with no issues so far.

That's good to know Bill.Next time I need to drain the tank I'll just use the pump.

I've done that a few times. Don't park though. Somebody will panic and be sure to let you know your valve is open or they may even close it on you.
Same thing if you ever forget to close a door or latch. I find it quite humorous how people freak out. It's all with good intention though. I politely smile and thank them, then I laugh when they're not looking.
