Yesterday the high temperature here in Bend was just 59°F with a low of 30°F -- it felt unseasonably cold...and yet, tomorrow is the first day of [meteorological] summer.

It isn't "Summer" until I take the flannel sheets off the bed and start wearing shorts.

No fruit this year. the late freeze was absolutely brutal. All of the trees, including the large maples around the house, lost a couple of inches of new growth.
