This one was taken fron the top of Tapastry wall. The point on the upper left side is where my camp was.

WS, the morning light is sweet. Seductive with a sense of first light.
I wonder, how close to base camp were you for the shot?
 
We spent a lazy afternoon along the Bear River.
I'm putting a Fuji X100s through it's paces.
The 35mm single focal length is classic, and with f2 speed and sophisticated controls it's a beast, in a rangefinder-style retro body.

Temple of the Sun Capitol Reef NP. Yea that's me just behind the teardrop. The Toyota Tacoma sitting in the shade is for a commercial they were filming. The camera crew showed up just before sunrise so we were trying to stay out of each others shots.
 
Last Sunday I took a quick trip to the Eastern Sierras to see if any Fall Colors were left. Arrived at Virginia Lake to snow, nice, but not too good for leaves. A trip down to the June Lake Loop found nice Color, as did Green Creek Road and Upper Summers Meadows Road. Traveled down to Bishop area to South Lake where the colors are at their peak. A nice couple days. A couple pics as I go through the batch...

We are spending a bit of time in the Santiam Canyon. Here's a shot from the lower end. Hopefully, tomorrow will be at elevation, with lots of color in the vine maple...
