The Wildlife Photography Thread

I came home on Monday and heard Callie barking frantically. I had left her inside our fenced garden.
As I looked past the garden into the orchard I saw the issue: Mr. Bear had shown up.
It turns out he had climbed our cherry tree and had stripped many branches to get the ripening fruit.
Mr. Bear wasn't very concerned about the dog, but when we saw me he trotted off into the woods.
I got a few quick grab shots with my 70-200mm lens that I happened to have mounted on my camera.
Wish I would have had the 100-400mm instead with better light.

We did a quick birding trip over to Malheur, staying at Page Springs. We would still be there except for the weather that came in and put the birds down. Here's a couple of shots from the trip. The surprise was the Northern Parula that was in an alder tree, directly behind out camp. It was only about 1500 miles out of normal range, a very rare siting for Oregon.

Steve you sure get some great shots.
We have a lot of GHOs around our area but mostly just hear them.
On one of our morning walks a few months gro there were a pair on males out competing for
territory.
Got to see them very close up,within 12'.
Thanks for the post.
