Swan Lake has a nice community museum, most of my pictures aren't very good as it was a dark and rainy day

Vic they are on the 5/23 post.
Reason I asked about them being Wood Bison is that Alaska is trying to reintroduce
them to their original areas and I think they got some from an area in Alberta.

Anyway the Animal museum outside of Anchorage has some breading groups now.

I think the woods bison are further north

I am going to work on my next pictures tonight. I’ve got 5g service here. Smokey river boat launch/campground hwy 49 from Falher to Rycroft. Nice free site

I am heading to Dawson creek tommorow, I will probably backtrack alittle and head to Hay River NWT and Wood Buffalo NP then circle back to the Alaskan hwy, It looks like the Top Of The World and Dempster hwys are not in good shape and I will be best to save them for my way back, so i may be in Atlin BC,Scagway ferry to Haines and then the rest of Alaska

The Top of the World is a nice route.
When you get to Haines there is a small
CG at Mosquito lake about 10/15 miles out of Haines.
Nice free quiet place.
Also in Haines Junction Pine Lake has nice sites.

Thanks for posting your trip.

Really enjoying your travel postings and great photos. I'd love to be back on the road up there. Avoid the urge to hurray (as it is a big place) ...when I was up there it was a mental battle for me to keep it slow and enjoy without hurrying to the next sight. Your dogs must be well trained to leave bears alone! (and beavers and....)
