I have a 2009 Tacoma access cab, Eagle shell. I'm pretty light on the camper itself but have ARB front bumper w/winch, rear swing away bumper and full skid plates and sliders.I'm running Icon coilovers and OME Dakars w/ extra leaf and sit level and handles fine. No air bags and I don't need...
My biggest concern would be the water pump itself, if it's cold enough, long enough to worry about water in the tank freezing that won't be the problem area. You can always recirculate water in the tank and just moving the vehicle will mix or agitate the water in the tank. Granted it's going to...
I believe the gain from heating that area would be very little, the camper box is 3/4" plywood and what heat is in that space is going to rise straight up and be lost out through any little crevice it can find. Also the water tank is sitting right on the bottom of that plywood box. Just thinking...
I made brackets from aluminum angle. With your smaller panel you may need to span all the way across with aluminum angle. 1"x1"x1/8" will be plenty. Ron
I'm thinking of hitting Bosque Del Apache also. I'm leaving Ky. Friday and have to be in Mesa on Tuesday for a regear on the Tacoma and then I'll be all over exploring. Maybe see some of you guys on the road. Ron
If there was no solar charge controller installed from the factory then the wiring from the roof and rear plug shouldn't have been terminated to anything inside the camper. If it wasn't then there was not really a positive or negative per say until you connected those wires to something. Ron
Dawn, you can see the other side of your water heater from outside by removing the exterior panel, there is no water line on that side. If you have water coming from behind it you may very well have a ruptured tank. Ron
I'm also getting ready to go to 4.88 gears, tired of the constant downshift, I'm running 255/85/16. Going to be sweet. I too hate the chrome, looking good, keep it up. Ron
Mine has a few spots too, I'd say every single one has the same issues, just look closely and you will see it. It's just cosmetic, it won't let water into the interior of the camper. Ron
