    per Mt 'Tallac: there are a lot of "RIP's"...maybe scattering remains ....incredible views -- almost 4000' climb and just under 5 miles up...many use some sort of vinyl/plastic tagging....nearly impossible to remove....a few have used chalk which i least weathers quickly and is gone...

    hummmmmmmmmmm... wonder if my insurer (california capital) covers my camper without a rider....??? i checked into USAA rates a couple of years ago ....they were crazy high ....yes -- i compared "apples to apples"... is it typical for truck ins or homeowner ins to cover the camper ?

    FYI... incredible area ! my dog and i visit regularly....but keep a watchful eye....the dog cops can be rough in this area for off leash dogs ...no matter how well behaved they are....that being said...i have not seen one this year... unfortunately, the wildflowers are past their prime this year...

    ONLY HEARSAY ON MY PART.... i have heard the camper has to be "bolted" to the truck and that if you are caught by chp w/ camper off while on a ca roadway then you will be ticketed and be required to pay all back fees plus any fines, etc... good luck ace

    newbie, i have a northstar so i can not be alaskan specific BUT torklift would be my advice...easy on and off especially w/ fastguns... ...the important factor is being attached to the frame...a very important factor if you will be off-roading... ...IMHO --the bed and bumpers were not made to...
