RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Eagle Shell Now Vs Fleet Shell Later?

Maybe it helps! The main reason I went with the EAGLE is that in Europe the entrance at the Toll Stations is narrower than in the USA! It is also easier to fit in the parking lots on the car deck of the sea ferries which means less ferry costs if you don’t have to choose the lot for a truck...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Eagle Shell Now Vs Fleet Shell Later?

@GrayJ As you supposed my favor for the US Tacoma is size and horsepower (V6 = 236 HP) and even more the softer ride when unloaded compared to European pickups! Counting on TTIPP (Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership) with the discount of 20% on import custom fees I will go...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Eagle Shell Now Vs Fleet Shell Later?

@GrayJ In Germany we have campgrounds, caravan sites and motor camps you have to pay for. And there are parking areas for mobile homes free of use especially close to the cable car stations in the alps. Unfortunately not comparable to camping in the state/national parks in the USA! Please...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Eagle Shell Now Vs Fleet Shell Later?

Maybe it helps ;) I live in the Bavarian Alps (South of Germany) and I’m a proud owner of a 2010 Toyota Tacoma V6 Access Cab! I carry a 2015 FWC Eagle on the 6’ bed. The Tacoma fits nicely our roads and highways. In the big cities like Munich it sometimes may be a little harder to find a...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West New problem with my '05 Eagle - sheared off screws.

Maybe it helps You can try to drill out the broken screws with a smaller drill or go with Wandering Sagebrush (post #5) You can drill new holes above the old ones (see picture) You can relocate the toggle latch moving an inch sideways. But then you have to relocate the catch bracket as well!

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West CARRYING SKIS?

Downhiller...I could not resist....since I am an 'earn your turns' BC kinda skier.... You remove your skis BEFORE to pop up the top... :D And while I do not know how that rack pivots but getting the door of camper could be challenging... Phil OK. You are right! BEFORE! Tall boy? If not -...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West CARRYING SKIS?

Maybe it helps! Don’t know what FWC you have! But roof racks are not comfortable to reach when the camper is poped up! Thought about a hitchski carrier? In summer for bikes! In winter for skis! Thought about a hitch mounted Cargo Carrier? It’s a less expensive solution. You can put your...

Maybe it helps Never seen an air head composting toilet in a FWC Tank needs assisted venting 24 hours a day! You have to go with a solar powered and battery powered vent (for the night)! From the air head FAQ: “We do not recommend the unit remain installed with the fan disconnected. Moisture...

Where did you get the 40" struts? I have the 20lb struts ( SUSPA C16-31895) and want to upgrade to 30lb rear and 40lb front! Did you buy the struts from SUSPA or from FWC? Are they custommade for you? There are any 40" struts to be found on google :-(
