Strong taste of plastic in water from tank

Years ago we had a problem with really nasty taste from the camper tank. It ended up being the rv rated water hose. Even flushing it and sanitizing wouldn't help. Replaced the hose and sanitized the tank real well. No more problems. This might not help you but wanted to share. Hope you had a...

Check valve on city water inlet line? De-winterizing headaches.

The cap should do fine. My city water inlet would drip sometimes after winterizing/dewinterizing. I just keep the plug screwed in. Most city water inlets have a dome shaped rubber plug attached with a spring to the inside of the inlet. Blowing air can displace the domed plug and it won't seal...

    Propane or Stovetop Issue

I've had issues twice with liquid developing in a propane hose line, once in my camper and once in my boat. I removed the lines, blew them out and all has been great since. Our stove is very fussy about lighting with the built in lighter so we use a butane lighter. In your case it sounds like...

2023 Super duty- where to connect 12v accessories.

Can I connect directly to the battery? I've heard talk of connecting at other points but the battery make the most sense to me with the higher loads. Thanks Vic!

2023 Super duty- where to connect 12v accessories.

I have a 2022 F350 Diesel and need to hook up a DC to DC. I know there is talk of "smart" charging systems on vehicles but don't have a good understanding of them. Any thoughts? Thanks and Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays, Bigfoot Dave

    Tick Caused Allergy

Back here in Wisconsin we spray our pant legs and boots with Permitherin and that has really cut down the tick count. I really believe that one should check for ticks every night to minimize the contact time and their ability to transfer the nasties. When I say every night I mean EVERY night...

    Mosquito Deterrent?

Interesting, I use a coconut oil liquid soap and last Saturday I used the soap in the morning. Very few mosquitos or gnats all day. Saturday night I used my son's liquid fuu fuu soap and lots of bugs sunday. I'll report back after Memorial weekend. Thanks for the info, Bigfoot Dave (C-Dory)

Touch Screens in Cars Solve a Problem We Didn’t Have

In my opinion there is danger in those touch screens. With a knob for fan, temp and direction of flow I never have to take my eyes off the road and try to focus on the screen and touch the right spot while bouncing down the road. The glow from the screen doesn't help my night vision either...

    Winter Watch

Just finished 2 days of 14" heavy wet snow each day. Way too much hydraulic therapy between the tractor and the plow. The one delight was the beautiful blue of the side view of the snow due to water content. Now there's a snow squall warning for the western end of Lake Superior. Merry Christmas...

    Truck not charging batteries

There should be a fuse or a circuit breaker at or near the trailer battery that could be tripped/blown. On my ford the 12V line is not powered unless the engine is running. There will be a fuse for the trailer 12V line in the truck fuse box too. Good luck, Bigfoot Dave

Dave, we live in the Duluth, MN area right at the west end of Lake Superior. We've driven the Circle Tour and boated around the lake.
