The Landscape Photography Thread

Okay, enough wonk talk
Let's get back to some landscape photos! :D

Here's a shot from the summit of Mt. Lincoln at 9,000' from last Sunday.
Shot with Fuji 100s

Ok, the gear head talk is fun, but you're right. And that's a nice shot of Mt Lincoln!

Wonderful shot of the water & reflection!

Nice work Lighthawk and ETAV8R!

Another Gulf sunset, this one with a 5 stop Singh Ray Mor Slo ND to smooth out the waves.

After a good soaking, compliments of El Nino, our local foothills recorded 3" of rain with up to 6" of rain all the way to Donner Summit.
The weather broke today and I went down to the S. Yuba River with Callie. When the rains come, the moss plumps up, and the ferns create a rainforest setting, contrasting with our hot Mediterranean summers. We sure do need the rain!

[edit: river photos shot with B+W 4 stop ND filter]

Andy, looks like the Yuba is really ripping! I hope California is seeing the end of the drought, and no flooding!

Nice shooting by the way!

I like the warm orange tones coming across the ocean. I've sailed out to the Coronados, but those are not very far off the coast.

Back to NorCal where we've had 4-6" of rain, then turning to snow with a foot of cold powder over a solid base.
I took these photos today while on a ski tour, using the Fuji 100s.

The Union Pacific was running strong.

Andy I like them both, and think they would make great monochrome images. Nice work!
Good suggestion. There wasn't much color out there in the flat light.
When I was skiing down, it was hard to see what was going on.
