We did a quick visit to Sierra Valley, now home to Lake McCaffrey (sp?).
They have received so much precip, that the valley floor is flooded and many of the farm roads are underwater.
The birds love it.

We found a pair of Baldy's down by Loyalton.


One more SHC perambulating in the snowy fields


There were quite a few kestrels about, but not as many raptors as we see in May.


Last one, a sage thrasher, per Wandering Sagebrush. The males tend to perch and sing out in the springtime. We saw half a dozen or more exhibit the behavior.
