Well it's time to get rid of Winter and onto Spring

I haven't looked at this book in a long time. I should... when I get back in the subject territory.

I actually thought about linking Stephen Trimble's masterwork (IMHO) when I used the phrase.

Robins showed up last week. Yesterday it hit 60 degrees outside and we had the house completely opened up. Last week we had Varied Thrushes moving through, the first time we've seen them here. The peach trees are getting ready to blossom. I do expect at least one more cold snowstorm to hit that will kill all the blossoms. We get peaches only every 3 years or so.

Good luck on the peaches, Mr 3pin!... And the cobbler, crisp and ice cream.

A couple of days from now I'll be in 'The Peach State'.

We’re up here in Prineville OR visiting the in-laws. Very windy drive yesterday from Klamath Falls to our destination. Took the dog out last night around 11 pm, snowed on us. Just a bit left on the ground early this morning. Quite a difference from Ventura County!

Forecast: For Fargo... North Dakota?
Nope. Fargo, Georgia -- southern Georgia -- close to freezing forecast in April!

Actually, a downside of such cool (overnight) temperatures is that the alligators in the nearby Okefenokee Swamp will be less active. I've seen only a few alligators on this visit to The South -- I want to, and the Okefenokee has a big population.

Took the snow tires off the Lady's Subaru last evening.

"Let it snow, let it........................"
This extremely dry spring persists here. More deer than you can shake a stick at are moving through. Bees are working the blossoms on the peach trees. We washed, polished, and waxed both vehicles.

Roller coaster here... 52 yesterday with daffodils... woke up to wind and 24 degrees... snowing today. Tomorrow back to 54 predicted. At least the black flies are as confused as I am.

Our aspen is just getting leaves. The dogwoods are blooming all around us. The white firs are pouring out pollen (a couple of weeks early). I'm getting the big snowblower ready for its long summer's nap. Spring time.

Possibility of snow Sunday. :)

I feel your pain...I swear ... 34F and snowing this morning... 68F predicted Saturday... Never put that winter coat away until May.
But the Maples have buds and hands down May just is the month when I am happiest. So much about to pop!

We've got to think of these happenings as fun. We brought it on ourselves - snow tires off the Subaru, awning on the deck (it is retractable ;)), big snowblower all apart for repair, etc. Bring it on Ma Nature! We always have a smaller, well running, snowblower in reserve. :)

An old guy we knew who was on the Mt. Rainer Search & Rescue group always said, "Just another day in the mountains and just a little bit more fun than usual."

Its already gone from 1" of rain to one tenth of an inch. So much for the big storm.
It's a trend I've discovered watching our NOAA point forecast, the night forecast person lowers the predicted precipitation amounts. When I check in the morning, the predicted amounts are back up. It's been going on all season, we laugh about it and figure the night crew are pessimists.

Last night no snow, this morning its back to 4". :)
